I have to admit, this was one tough week. I had been sick and was in a miserable state for the most part. It was a really bad dysmenorrhea, with diarrhea and vomitting starting days before my first day. For a few days, I could only eat soup and congee, in very small amounts. I am thankful nonetheless. This pain means I have ovulated and performed normal female bodily functions. It may seem like it’s not a big deal but when you are dealing with fertility issues, it is a big deal. We are in the process of getting a work up and I’ve been preparing for it – taking regular vitamins, working out, getting regular check ups, doing all the requisite blood works and test. Ariel is likewise preparing for it with his own doctor’s visits and regimen. So, this temporary misery is really just an affirmation that we are in the right track, and for that, I am grateful.

Our condo renovation is moving along well. It is slower than I would want but that’s just how it goes. So far, we are liking what we’re seeing and I am praying that the finishing work will be flawless. I am grateful for our husband and wife team of architect-contractor who have been working hard to make sure we are happy with this project. They are creative and brave and hardworking. They are not afraid to make bold recommendations and we love their work. God bless them! Can’t wait to finally get this project over with so we can enjoy our “new old home”. Thank you God for this gift of a comfortable dwelling place in the city.

I am grateful for a loving hubby who takes care of me when I am sick. I am thankful for his thoughtfulness, for the small gifts he brings home to make me feel good and for the little daily gestures of love.

I am grateful for my SOAGL friends who continue to provide support, motivation and encouragement, not just on matters related to photography but about anything and everything under the sun. They make me laugh constantly, and they give me such a great sense of belonging. What a wonderful blessing their friendship has been.

Happy weekend everyone!
