This week, the guest speakers at our church were Eric Villarama and his popular showbiz wife, Donita Rose. They talked about their love life and it was great. But Eric mentioned something that struck me. The Israelites wandered in the dessert for 40 years when they could have walked straight to the promised land for 11 days. 11 days. That meant something to me. And I’ll hold on to that promise. Thank you Lord for your message that day.
This week, we had a Bible Study and we discussed Genesis 18-20. I liked the story here. It was great that I’ve recently just read through the book of Genesis. I am thankful for the reminder that trouble can find us, but God is always there to deliver us, that He can make impossible things possible, that we can have a friendship with Him. I am thankful for our group that is growing in number. I am thankful for Barry who continues to lead us. I am thankful for Jo who treated us to lunch last Thursday, and I am thankful for all the people who were brought there to be a blessing to each other.
This week, we got our red folders at work. The red folder is our reward for a year of hard work. I thank God for that blessing and for His continuous provisions.
I spent the day at home nursing menstrual cramps and all the discomforts of dysmenorrhea. Despite the pain, I am thankful for this cycle because it is all part of being a woman and it’s a symbol of hope for me. As I wait to be blessed with the privilege of being a mom, this discomfort reminds me that it is still possible. I just have to keep believing.
Thank you Lord for a great week!
