So I’ve started my TGIF series towards the last quarter in 2010. Then a friend of mine asked if I’ve made a mini album out of my gratitude series. I said no, but that is actually a great idea! So this is week 1 of my gratitude mini album. I’ve decided I will blog about it first then scrap it later. That way, I am more likely to complete my 52 weeks of gratitude for 2011. I also resolve to find things to be thankful for no matter how bad my weeks seems to be turning out. So my prayer is for the Lord to open my eyes to everyday blessings, big or small. Here’s my list for the week.
Thank you Lord for a safe new year celebration with none of us getting hurt or losing a finger.
I am grateful for a very relaxed first day of the year. I woke up at 11am, had brunch, went back to bed and got up at 3:45pm. How’s that for a lazy day!
We had a fun Photography Club dinner with the Core Team and their spouses. We missed brother Ron but everyone else made it. We are thankful for Rein’s client who prepared a scrumptious spread – sinigang na salmon sa miso, grilled squid, sweet-spicy prawns and buttered prawns. The prawns were given as a gift, as well as a galon of ube ice cream.
I am thankful for a relatively stress-free first week of work.
I’m also happy to tidy up my office. It’s a refreshing workplace for me, now. And that’s one item on my to do list this year!
Thank God for holiday leftovers, too! Since we left our helper in Cavite, preparing dinner this week had been a breeze. All I had to do was heat food.
Finally, ending Friday with a relaxing evening watching Fringe at home while enjoying red wine and a cheese platter. Thank you Lord for simple pleasures!
