Today, I wore this…

and this…

to work. And I still can’t get over how pretty they are.
I almost wish I wore fancier clothes to work today. And that I didn’t have a buhaghag hair day. LOL! Everytime I’d go for a bathroom break, I’d see myself in the mirror and admire the craftsmanship that went into each of these pieces. The pendant is made of Black Russian Stone and 10k gold wire while the earrings are made of 10k gold wire and swarovski crystals. Here’s a closer look at the pendant.

Isn’t it gorgeous? This necklace and earrings set was handmade by my friend Carrie.

It’s funny how I got this pendant. First, I saw this in Carrie’s portfolio.

I loved the design, but I’m not a fan of copper wire, so I asked Carrie if she can make me a gold version with black beads. I thought the combination will match my Disney Couture Tinkerbell necklace and bangle set. A few weeks later, Carrie sent me this photo.

Took my breath away. So I asked Carrie to make me a matching pendant. She made me the necklace pictured above. And another pair of earrings to better match the necklace. So now I have two beautiful pairs of earrings and one gorgeous necklace.

And just to emphasize how talented she is, here are some of Carrie’s creations. These are all made of aluminum wire and assorted beads and/or chips in a 16″ non-tarnish silver chain. I own two similar pieces – the first two pieces I bought from Carrie and whenever I wear any of them, I never fail to get compliments.

Do you want to win one of Carrie’s aluminum pieces above? Just leave a comment here and tell me which of the pieces above is your favorite.
