I wanted this to be a weekly thing. And just because I wasn’t able to post in some weeks doesn’t mean I had nothing to thank for then. I just wasn’t able to post. Anyway, there are many blessings this week and I just want to share some of them.
I got sick last week and I thank God for healing. Actually, I am a bit alarmed that I am getting sore throat quite frequently, and with that cough, cold and fever. But I put my trust in God and know that He is my healer.
I am very grateful for another Bible Study session last Wednesday. Mavel, as usual, prepared a good lunch for us. And Barry, even if he is apologetic for not having enough time to prepare, actually shared a very relevant topic – Monday Blues. As with the past weeks, our discussion is still centered on being in the work place. I never realized how much the Bible has to say about corporate life. I really pray that we can continue.
I am also thankful for a new addition to our Bible Study at work. Karla joined us last Wednesday. May the Lord continue to bless us with new attendees.
Last Saturday, Ariel and I, together with my brother and sis-in-law, drove to Sta. Rosa for a bit of furniture shopping. Thank God we were able to find a good cabinet-maker and we got to order a cabinet for our home. Praise God for the resources He has provided so we can be comfortable at home. I also thank the Lord for that time of bonding among the four of us and how the rains didn’t dampen our spirits.
I am happy to come home to a house decked in red and gold and a lot of Christmas decors. I can feel the festive mood that the Christmas season brings.
We have been doing a bit of Christmas shopping. Thank God for the means to buy gifts to bless others. And it wasn’t stressful at all. I never really liked shopping. But this time, I have been enjoying it.
I also enjoyed movie night with Ariel last Wednesday. We watched Harry Potter 7 Part 1. It was awesome! But regardless of what movie we saw, I really enjoyed our time together. The last movie we saw was The Town with Ben Affleck. Before that, I couldn’t remember. We used to watch movies very regularly – once a week at least, more in some weeks. But now, we rarely go out to watch a movie. Really enjoyed it, and I’m glad Ariel was able to get off work fairly early that day.

And finally, we saw a beautiful rainbow on our drive home last Monday. It’s been a while since I last saw one and I am grateful for this blessing. We were just in awe of the beautiful colors and like little kids, our faces against the car window, we just marveled at this handiwork of our Creator. Awesome!

A token of God’s promise [Source]

I do set my bow in the cloud, and it shall be for a token of a covenant between me and the earth. And it shall come to pass, when I bring a cloud over the earth, that the bow shall be seen in the cloud: And I will remember my covenant, which is between me and you and every living creature of all flesh; and the waters shall no more become a flood to destroy all flesh. And the bow shall be in the cloud; and I will look upon it, that I may remember the everlasting covenant between God and every living creature of all flesh that is upon the earth. And God said unto Noah, This is the token of the covenant, which I have established between me and all flesh that is upon the earth. (Genesis 9:13-17)
