The week seemed to just fly, but that just goes to show that this has been a good one. First on my list is the successful workshop by Gunther Deichmann. We have been preparing for this for quite some time now and I’m just glad that the feedback had been very positive. Everyone, including myself, had a grand time. It had been very exhausting, but it was a lot of fun. Praise God for the great weather. It didn’t rain the whole morning so we were able to walk around Intramuros and learn from GD. We had a bit of rain in the afternoon but nothing that could stop us from capturing beautiful shots of the American Cemetery. The icing on the cake? Ariel won first place! What a blessing!
Thank the Lord also for Ariel’s safe trip to Davao. He was gone from Monday to Wednesday for a business trip. He got back safe and sound, with a box of pomelo and some mangosteen. Thank you Lord for the blessings!
On Wednesday lunch time, I joined another Bible Study session at work. Thank God for Barry who led us through the session. Our topic was about “How to be in a rat race (without being a rat)” which I thought was so apt for our group. We learned about Daniel’s example and how he glorified God with his work life. I am also thankful for Mavel who prepared our sumptuous lunch and who has volunteered to do so for our next sessions. May the Lord continue to use Barry and Mavel to minister to us through our lunch sessions.
I also received another pack of scrapbooking goodies for free. I am so very thankful for the opportunity to partner with My Little Attic to create layouts and projects. Thank God for this blessing. I pray that my creative juices will flow and I will be able to create beautiful layouts. I also pray that the Lord will continue to bless MLA and its generous owner.
I am also part of the organizing team for our group’s Team Building activity. We were able to iron out the flight and accommodation details which was a bit of a challenge because of our company’s policy that only 5 people are allowed to fly together at any given time. Our program and activities were also finalized and we are ready to conquer Misibis Bay Resort next week. I am thankful for the opportunity to travel to beautiful places for free. Ariel’s team had been there a few month’s back and now it’s my turn to see it. Now I’m praying for safe travel and good weather throughout the country. Lord please don’t let typhoon Megi touch our country.
On Wednesday night, our Photography Club met at McDonald’s to share feedback on the workshop and also discuss future plans. Praise God for the great feedback on the workshop. I am also thankful for this wonderful group of people who I am now happy to call my friends.
I’ve been hearing how horrible the traffic was on this Friday evening since it’s a payday weekend. I drove to Greenbelt with trepidation as I really hate driving through heavy traffic specially at night. Thank God I got to Greenbelt safely and quickly. I also found a parking slot easily. Had my “me time” and was able to do everything I set out to do before picking up Ariel from a wedding reception he attended. We got home safely and are looking forward to a relaxing weekend.
