I issued this month’s challenge and this time, it’s Hybrid scrapbooking!

This is supposed to be the sample layout but I overlooked a rule so I had to make another one. Anyway, I’m just happy to be able to scrap this event and I’m quite happy with the outcome.

I scrapped our Antonio’s dinner last January 27th. We celebrated Ariel’s birthday a day early because we are on leave on the 28th and we can wake up late the next day.

I used the Studio Calico September Kit for this layout. The papers and chipboards are from SassafrasLass. I typed the journaling since this is supposed to be a hybrid layout. I also added captions to the photos in Photoshop CS2.

I am quite happy with how this page turned out. This is inspired by the style of Christine Middlecamp, who also happens to be a designer for Sassafras. I love how she is able to put in little compartments in her pages and each one is filled with interesting details. I have yet to get used to having so much on one page as my layouts are usually very simple. Once in a while though, I enjoy “loading” my pages with different elements. How else will I be able to use up all my stash! LOL!

Thanks for looking!
