Not the movie! Artist Trading Cards!

I think for many of us Pinoyscrapbookers, last August 23 was a real first at making ATCs. I ‘ve seen a couple of ATCs in magazines, in blogs, etc. I know some people actually swap ATCs with other artists. I must confess I did wonder why thy’d go through the trouble of making them. Well, my eyes were opened during the PS eb. They’re so much fun to do! And yes, swapping with other people may be a neat thing to do. I might just start doing that soon.

So here’s my first ever ATC with a matching tin can. The kit contained “vintagey” papers so it was my first time to try vintage too!

Here’s the back and top of the tin can. As you can see, I used crackle paint for a really worn look. And I just love that stamp!

My ATC didn’t win but my tin can did! I bagged 3rd place (got a stamp and a CD full of digital goodies), next to veteran April Lim and master Iris Uy. I went home feeling like a real champ! Haha!

If anyone would like to know more about artist trading cards and their history, or how to make artist trading cards, they may also be interested in a couple of articles that I've written.
