I always look forward to a quiet weekend in our Cavite haven. A quiet weekend means staying at home all day, and spending some time doing what I love to do – scrapping!!! On Saturday, July 14, I am hoping to finish a few layouts, mostly entries to various challenges. I will also continue revamping my scrapping space which I already started the previous Saturday. Hopefully by end of the month, it will be completely transformed into a scrapping oasis I can escape to on weekends.

I am also going to plan for my demo on Sunday, the Pinoyscrapbookers July EB. I will again demonstrate making monograms using UTEE. This time, using pearl UTEE on the monogram. Perfect timing too since I am planning to give my brother and his fiancee a monogram wedding planner.

But next weekend, July 21-22, will be different. Yes, I will be home all day. Yes, it will definitely be another me-time. However, it will be a scrap-free weekend for me. I won’t scrap. No, I won’t even browse through my books and magazines. I won’t go through my stash, nor gaze with longing at my recently acquired, still-unused clear stamps. Nothing scrap-related will be done this time. I probably won’t even sit in my scrapping domain.

Neither will I cook, nor lift a finger at the kitchen. I won’t do my grocery shopping. I won’t clean the house. I won’t soak in the bath, probably not even a quick shower! And maybe, I won’t even have a decent conversation with my hubby.

Why?

I am going on an extraordinary journey. A much-awaited trip to an amazing destination. I’m taking the final visit to the magical land of witches and wizards. I’m going to Hogwarts!!! Yes, finally, the last installment in the Harry Potter series will be out!!! You’ll find me lining up at 7am (or earlier) at the Powerbooks Greenbelt to join other fanatics and be among the first to get a copy. When I get home, I will curl up in one corner of the house and read. I will stop only when the toilet beckons, or when my tummy says it’s time to eat.

Can’t wait!!!

Alby!!! See you at Hogwarts! Meet tayo with the other Muggles like Donna, etc. to discuss the book after we immerse ourselves in it. Pag-usapan natin sa Sunday. Dun sa last book, nag-kulong ako sa bathroom just to make sure I was left undisturbed. I didn't emerge until I finished it. My DH called me crazy. Hahaha.
